Casa Las Katarinas in Grass Valley

Last night we enjoyed a delicious meal at Casa Las Katarinas restaurant. Pork, beef and chicken were spiced just right and the salsa was fresh and tangy. We shared each other's food and are anxious to return. Staff was friendly and made us feel welcome.

Delicious, wonderful atmosphere, great service, and they have a vegan menu! We will be regulars. As a vegan, I was floored that they have a supplementary vegan menu! That is rare at restaurants in our area.

We went in at 4pm so the place was pretty empty. We got sat promptly, and the waiter walked fast everywhere and was the perfect balance of friendly and professional. 😁 Our drinks and food came out at after a reasonable wait. I had the beef chimi and it was delicious as was the complimentary salsa. The guacamole was FRESH and flavorful. I will be back the next chance I get.

Good Mexican food.

Exceptionally good Mexican menu. A vegan menu is a bonus. The service & atmosphere are nice. Dined there for my birthday :)

Best SERVICE in Nevada County !!!!! The waiter German is very professional along with the whole staff.06/11/20 - We finally were able to visit them again. It was extremely busy but yet they were able to keep up with the demand and use all the current saftey guidelines. As always the food was accident and the service was superbe. They opened up the extra Room in the back because they were so busy, but the service was still prompt. We really appreciate this restaurant and we are glad to have them as part of our local community.

We went August 24th, Saturday Evening and the place was empty and locked. I was shocked to see they were out of business. Sad because the food had been pretty good on previous visits.

Really impressed! They really make an effort to appeal to all tastes by including a whole vegetarian/vegan section which was very much appreciated by my party. We will return!

First time and thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and very friendly, accommodating staff. Dessert TO DIE FOR, TOO!Seems like everyone who works here, cares about the customer. My wife was saving room for dessert so she asked for a box for her largely untouched meal. The server, Amy, asked my wife if she would like to "try something else", thinking that my wife didn't care for her meal! Wow, That is another level of service that I have not experienced in quite awhile. We let Amy know that our meal was fantastic ( my plate looked clean😅 cuz the trio fajitas went fast).We'll be back!

3rd time here, the food never disappoints. The only knock I have is that they were understaffed on a Friday night. There was a private event going on and the main dining area had only to waiter's. Our waiter, German, was very polite and efficient but was forced to cover a lot of ground. Hopefully it's a one-time glitch. Best Mexican food in the area though.

We love our little Alta Sierra secret. This is an amazing place with wonderful food. The service will astound you!

This restaurant is one of the best Mexican restaurants that I have ever ate at. Very spacious dining room with an upper level. The staff is extremely friendly and constantly check to make sure you are having a great visit. Their food is a little pricey but you get quality and quantity for what you pay. I highly recommend eating here. Totally worth the visit. I will definitely be going back to eat more food!!!

Food was great. I had the fish tacos and they were delicious. The Guac is good. I also liked their sangria, which is always a plus. Service was good as they all help one another but German is really nice. All in all. It was great.
